AstERICS Grid is a free, open‑source, cross‑platform web application designed for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), allowing users to create highly customizable communication boards with pictograms, images, or text; it runs in any modern browser on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS, supports flexible input methods such as touch, switches, scanning, eye‑tracking and EMG sensors, works offline for enhanced privacy, offers optional end‑to‑end encrypted cloud synchronization, integrates symbol libraries like ARASAAC, and is developed by UAS Technikum Wien with ongoing collaboration from ARASAAC to support people with diverse communication needs.
